Emily Olivia Leah Blunt is an English actress born on February 23, 1983 in London. His mother is a teacher and his father a lawyer. She is the second in a family of four children.
In 1999, Emily Blunt joined a boarding school for two years where she excelled in sport, singing and cello. At the same time, she took acting lessons. In 2000, she was chosen to perform at the Edinburgh Festival, where she was spotted by an agent, Ken McReddie. The young actress made a few appearances in series before joining the cast of the play The Royal Family in 2001.
In 2003, Emily Blunt made her film debut in Boudica, before playing in My Summer of Love. But it was in 2006 that her career took off: the actress landed a role in the film The Devil Wears Prada alongside Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway.
Emily Blunt is showing three films in 2007 including Love at first sight in Rhode Island. In 2009, she obtained the first main role in the film Victoria: the young years of a queen: she obtained numerous awards for her performance in the role of Queen Victoria of England. In 2008, she played in Small English Murders, then Wolfman with Anthony Hopkins. In 2011, she appeared in L'Agence d'Elise Sallas with Matt Damon.
From 2005 to 2008, Emily Blunt was in a relationship with singer Mickael Bubblé. She is now married to actor John Krasinski: the couple exchanged vows in July 2010.
