Peaky Blinders creator shares exciting update on Tommy Shelby film

 Peaky Blinders has won itself a cult following over the past 10 years with viewers obsessed with the tragically charming Tommy Shelby (played by Cillian Murphy). BBC viewers had to wait three years for the sixth and final season to air and were not disappointed by the shocking and violent end of the Shelby story as we know it. Of course, this isn't quite the end as it had already been confirmed a Peaky Blinders movie was in the works.

Talk has been surrounding the eagerly anticipated Peaky Blinders film for quite some time.

Creator Steven Knight has remained tight-lipped regarding its process until recently when he said at the BFI London Film Festival: "I am going to write the feature which will be set in and shot in Birmingham.

According to RadioTimes.com, production on the Peaky Blinders film will commence in October 2023.

So this could set up the drama nicely for a 2024 release date if there are no delays to its schedule.

Progress is being made as a whole with Knight recently launching the construction of a new film and TV studio.This is where the Peaky Blinders, among other projects, is going to be brought to life.
